Try wheat crackers instead of saltines. Or whole wheat bread .

I think peanut butter on whole wheat bread would be better. Also, peanut butter is ok but the oil (fat) is only good for you in moderation. Try some fruit or rice cakes next time.

yes, they make lite peanut butter that doesn’t carry all of the fat and protein, in fact I saw Dr. Mehmet Oz on Oprah and he went through this girls cabinet and said peanut butter was good, but it has partially hydrogenated vegetable oil which is he said “something good has been taken out of it (the product), and part of that goodness put back in” so try and steer away from phvo. Instead of saltines you may want to you unsalted crackers, after all the peanut butter is salty enough. Good luck!

Of course, however you need to modify it a bit. Try whole wheat crackers, or multigrain. And use all natural peanut butter!! The are alot of other healthy snacks, you dont have to starve yourself. Try checking out the abs diet.. it has some really yummy snack recipes and they are healthy!! Good Luck!

Its almost as good for your diet as bacon, ice cream, pig fat, and live racoons.
Peanuts have an extremly high sat. fat content. On top of that, sugar and cream are added to the peanut butter… so lets think about it.
Sat. fat + Sugar + Cream+ Butter + (carbs + salt)cracker
If you want a snack opt for whole grain wheat cracker with a lean french cheese (i know they are very hard to find) or go for fruits. They may be high in sugar, but its not as bad as peanutbutter.

A serving of peanut butter should only be about a teaspoon because of all the fat, so it’s not the best thing to snack on. Try fat free cream cheese with veggies or lean ham slices.
