The compound trihalomethanes, caused by the reaction between chlorine and organic materials–often don’t cause heart attacks in themselves, but they do cause the disease of the arteries called arteriosclerosis, and this disease can cause heart attacks (and even strokes).

At least forty-five thousand people in the United States get bladder cancer each year. And drinking water with chlorine in it can raise your chances of getting cancer of the bladder by up to eighty percent.

If you drink water with elevated levels of chlorine for more than fifteen years, your chance of getting colon cancer goes up dramatically.

Of course, we do not want to scare you. The important thing is that you know what comes out with water in your home. After all, water and health are two very important issues we all have to face, In the end, having a reliable water filter system at home is the wise solution.
