Im 14 years old and I want to go on a 1000 calorie a day diet. What can I do?
OK so I’m about 102 lbs, I’m 5’1, and I’m 14. It might not seem like I’m overweight but I have been noticing that Ive been gaining some lbs and just about 2 years ago I was 70 lbs and now I’m 102 so I gained 32 lbs. My family and friends have been noticing that I have been gaining weight so I would like to change myself. I excersise about once or twice a week.
Today I ate:
1/2 a bagel w/ cream cheese
Yogurt
Crackers
and I have been drinking water.
I added up all the calories and it added up to about 655 calories.
For dinner tonight:
Chicken that adds up to 190 calories
and I dont even feel hungry.
So my question is.. will this help me lose weight? Will I notice a difference?

you probably will because you may not be eating as much calories as you used to.

You’re supposed to gain weight at that age. It’s not getting fat, you’re just filling out.
And actually, 105 is the standard healthy weight for your height.
You don’t need to lose weight. =]
Create a video blog…instantly.
Of course you gained weight from the time you were twelve, your body is turning from a child’s body into an adults body. You need to eat a healthy balance of food or else you could stunt your growth and cause a number of other developmental problems which could effect you later in life (like depriving yourself of enough calcium, like you are, so you develop osteoporosis later in life).
You desperately need to eat. If you’re concerned about gaining fat, then you should participate in team sports or athletic competitions, just don’t starve yourself.
As a side, this obsessive calorie counting and self deception (“I don’t even feel hungry” after eating 800 some calories) is how eating disorders develop.

women are supposed to eat at least one and a half THOUSAND calories a day, you´re a teenager and therefore you need to be eating more than that. You´re more active than an adult, and you´re growing so you need calories.
If you lose weight like this, your body will start eating away at it´s own muscle. Also, your body will start to store fat more readily instead of burning it away. You can get stretchmarks, which really aren´t attractive, and most girls look ill when they´re too thin.
What you ate today isn´t healthy. It sounds like you´re on the verge of anorexia. Is there anything that´s bothering you other than your weight? You can email me if you want, I used to be anorexic and bulimic, and it´s only now that I´m twenty four I´ve realised that the most important thing is being healthy.
It would be better if you ate three or four small meals a day and did toning exercises.
Your weight is perfect for your body x
